Jule Niemeier v Harriet Dart Head to Head

Dart Comes Through Qualifiers

Britain’s Harriet Dart defeated Valeria Savinykh in straight sets on Sunday to qualify for the main draw of the Guangzhou Open.

Dart saved 2 of 5 break points and converted 5 of 9 to beat the Russian 6-3, 6-4. She had won the first qualifying round against Xun Fangying, beating the Chinese 6-4, 6-2.

Overall, Dart is 26-27 across levels this year. The 27-year-old produced her best results this year on grass, reaching the quarterfinals in Nottingham and Birmingham.

At the lower level, she won the Nottingham 8 ITF on hard court and most recently she is coming of a second round finish in Osaka.
