Felix Auger-Aliassime v Gael Monfils Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came at the 2020 Rotterdam Open final where Monfils had defeated Auger-Aliassime to clinch the title.

Monfils Slowly Coming into His Own
Having been out of action for months because of fitness-related concerns, Monfils has finally returned and started winning matches at the highest level again.
After having hit a low of 394th in the world in May this season, Monfils has slowly made his comeback with his performances on the North American hardcourt swing.
Monfils started off with a first round defeat in Atlanta before making the third round of the Washington Open and topping it with a quarterfinal appearance at the Canadian Masters. At Cincinnati he entered the third round before Andrey Rublev ended his stint at the US Open in a fighting four-setter.
All in all, Monfils has shown he belongs to the top 50 or even higher and his ranking should soon reflect that once he has featured in a few more ATP level tournaments.
