Kateryna Baindl v Yue Yang Head to Head
The pair have played once before, and that was just last month in Stanford, Yuan winning in three sets.

Baindl has had good results in the past playing in this part of the world. In 2017 she was runner-up in the Taiwan Open, and, the following year, she won a Challenger final in Dallian, China, her only success to date at that level.
This year she reached the third round of the Australian Open and then later reached her second WTA final in Hungary on clay, before eventually losing in three sets to Maria Timofeeva.
The following week she reached the quarter-finals in Prague, but the Ukrainian has hit a sticky patch since then, losing in the first round of both the US Open and Osaka.
And things did not go any better for Baindl in her first match in China last week.
She was beaten in the first round in Guangzhou by Rebeka Masarova of Spain, the world number 64, going down to a straight sets defeat.

Second Successive Main Draw Appearance for Yang
For the second successive week, Yuan finds herself in the main draw of a tournament on home soil in China.
And she will be hope to at least match her achievements in Guangzhou, where she was given a wildcard.
There she managed to beat the German Tamara Korpatsch in straight sets, and, although she was then beaten by Viktoria Hruncakova, she did at least extend the Slovak to three sets,
That second round appearance matched her previous best on the main tour this year, which came back in Prague.
For a woman more used to playing on the ITF circuit, exposure to the senior tour is all good experience.
Baindl v Yang Prediction and Tip
Although Baindl is the higher ranked player, she is not in the best of form right now. Yuan remains inexperienced at this level, but she is playing in conditions that are familiar to her, and the confidence she may have got from that win in Guangzhou could well inspire her.
