Karen Khachanov v Sebastian Korda Head to Head
There have been four previous meetings between these players and both have won two apiece.
Their most recent match came at the Australian Open earlier this year where Khachanov was leading by two sets to love when Korda retired from the encounter.

Khachanov had come back after a long injury-related layoff at the US Open and was sent packing in the very first round by Michael Mmoh there.
Here, he had overcome Alex Bolt in his second round win – following an opening bye – but fell a set behind against Mackenzie McDonald soon after. It was his fighting effort and probably the knowledge of how well he had done through the rest of the season that helped Khachanov make a comeback and carve out a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over his opponent.
Speaking of what Khachanov has done this season, this was his 15th win in a hardcourt competition to go with just seven defeats. A quarterfinalist at the French Open, Khachanov also has an overall record of 25-12 for the season making him one of the more improved players of the season before his injury at the end of the season’s second Grand Slam.

Korda Eases Past Etcheverry
Having struggled to make it past Alexandre Muller in the second round, Korda came back strongly in his quarterfinal against Tomas Etcheverry.
Going in with an obvious advantage thanks to his opponent’s preference for clay and a very underwhelming record in hardcourt competitions, Korda dropped just three games in his win over his Argentine opponent. He came through 6-1, 6-2 to enter the semifinal.
This came on the back of Korda’s stunning first round loss at the US Open where he would have gone in as a player who could disrupt the rhythm of a few of the top ones. Instead, he met his match at the hands of Marton Fucsovics.
And even that had come on the back of opening round losses at Wimbledon, Washington Open and the Cincinnati Masters before this. Having started off the season with a finals appearance at the Adelaide International, Korda’s performances look to have eased out.
A win here will go a long way in bringing some confidence back for Korda and he starts off a 4/5 (bet365) favourite to win it.
