Juan Pablo Varillas is 12-16 at the tour level this year and he is 25-23 across levels.
The Peruvian, ranked no. 70 in the world, most recently featured in Chengdu, winning the first round match against Jie Cui but falling to Grigor Doimitrov in the second round.
Varillas was a semifinalist in Buenos Aires and a quarterfinalist in Gstaad. Besides that he made his fourth round debut at a Grand Slam in Roland Garros.
The 27-year-old, too, got bulk of his wins on clay courts, while he is 4-6 on hard courts across levels.
