Kamilla Rakhimova v Diana Shnaider Head to Head
The pair have played once before, and that was in qualifying for the Kremlin Cup in Moscow two years ago, Shnaider winning in straight sets.

Rakhimova’s last main tour victory had come in the French Open back at the start of June, but she has now ended that dismal run with a comeback victory against the number six seed, Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands.
That had initially seemed unlikely when a single break of serve was enough to earn the Dutchwoman the first set.
And two breaks down in the second set seemed to signal the end for Rakhimova, because, although she got one of them back, she was broken again, giving Rus the chance to serve for the match.
The Dutchwoman had two match points, but could not make either of them count, and, instead, Rakhimova began to mount her comeback.
She broke back and then once more, forcing the tie-break which she clinched with her fourth set point.
The third set saw the first three games go against serve, by which point Rakhimova was a break to the good.
From there she consolidated her position and was able to celebrate her long overdue victory by breaking Rus to love.

Shnaider Wins a Match of Fluctuating Fortunes
Three times a Grand Slam doubles winner as a junior, Shnaider’s best result on the senior tour came in Hamburg this year, where she reached the semi-finals.
She has reached now the second round in Ningbo after a match of fluctuating fortunes with the Chinese world number 123, Zhuoxuan Bai.
In a first set largely dominated by serve, Shnaider had the better of things and she had already seen several break points saved before securing the break she needed to claim the advantage.
However, she began the second set poorly, and soon found herself two breaks down.
She did get one of them back, but immediately dropped her serve again, and then once more.
At that point Bai seemed very much the favourite, but, instead, it was Shnaider wo got an early break in the third set. Determined not to let her chance go begging this time, she broke once more, and she duly served out.
Rakhimova v Shnaider Prediction and Tip
Based on their one previous meeting, and the fact that Rakhimova’s victory over Rus was her first in more than three months, Shnaider may be considered the favourite for this match.
