Alex de Minaur v Fabian Marozsan Match Winning Odds*

de Minaur v Marozsan Prediction and Tip

There shouldn’t be too many worries for the in-form de Minaur and a straight-set win could well be on the cards for the Aussie.

Tips & Odds*:

de Minaur v Marozsan Head to Head

De Minaur and Marozsan have never faced off in a competitive match before this.

de Minaur Coming off Second Round Loss at Beijing

Having featured in the China Open just prior to the start of this competition, de Minaur scraped through to the second round with a hard-fought win over Andy Murray. It was an encounter that went into the final set tie-breaker too.

De Minaur wasn’t able to reproduce the same result in the second round though, having drawn the eventual finalist Daniil Medvedev. He went down fighting to Medvedev in straight sets.

This follows a very solid season for de Minaur which has already seen him win a title and make it through to three other finals including one at the ATP 1000 Masters competition in Toronto.

The question now is whether he can shrug off that last loss and resume his climb up the rankings ladder which has already seen him get to a career-best of 12th in the world.

Marozsan Snatches Surprise Win against Rinderknech

Marozsan is ranked 92nd in the world and was coming into this match against Arthur Rinderknech at 6/4 odds to beat his higher-ranked opponent.

Rinderknech would have expected things to go a lot easier for himself but when he found no breaks of serves forthcoming there might have been a sense of panic. His opponent looked to have read that well and while he found himself down a set-point in the tie-breaker that followed, Marozsan saved it and won it off his own set-point.

The second set proved to be a lot easier for Marozsan who broke Rinderknech twice to grab a 7-6 (6), 6-3 win and move to the second round of a tournament for just the third time this season.

In doing so, he had also registered just his sixth career win in the main draw of an event, which is another indicator how difficult it might get for him to usurp his next opponent.
