Norrie v Wolf Head to Head
Norrie and Wolf have never faced off in a competitive match.
Norrie 1-5 in the Last Six Matches
Norrie’s form has fallen by the wayside in recent times with the Brit having lost five of his previous six matches.
These include two Davis Cup singles matches but more vitally he also fell to Aslan Karatsev in the quarterfinal of the Zhuhai Open and then had the misfortune of playing Andrey Rublev in the first round of the China Open.
In the Rublev encounter, Norrie showed some signs of getting some of that lost form back when he grabbed the first set but that was followed by the loss of the next two sets in quick succession.
Norrie will now face off against Wolf, who is a tricky opponent in his own right but one who has himself been in some sort of a shoddy form.

Wolf Struggles against Cachin
Wolf was expected to do a bit better than he did against clay-court specialist Pedro Cachin in the first round of this competition in Shanghai.
Starting out as a 3/10 favourite in his opener, Wolf was forced to come back from being a set down before grabbing a three-set win over his Argentine opponent. In a match lasting two hours and six minutes, Wolf edged out Cachin 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the second round.
The American, who was on a five-match main draw losing streak, was broken once in the first set but retaliated with a break of serve in the second to level things out.
In the decider, however, the two traded breaks in the very first two games before Wolf went ahead with a decisive one in the seventh.
Can he now use this to push Norrie hard and even take advantage of his opponent’s lack of results?
