Where will the Australian Open 2024 be Played?

The venue for this 112th edition of the Australian Open remains the same as before, i.e. Melbourne Park. It has hosted the Australian Open since 1988 and it will be no different in 2024 either. This was earlier known as Flinders Park before the name was changed to Melbourne Park in 1996.

When will the Australian Open 2024 be Played – The Schedule

Qualifiers

The three qualification rounds for the competition will be held in the week preceding the start of the tournament. It will be played between January 8-11, 2024.

Men’s & Women’s Singles

The men’s and women’s singles main draw competition will run between Sunday, January 14 and Sunday, January 28. The first round matches will be hosted over three days instead of the customary two, with the tournament kick-starting on Sunday this year instead of the usual Monday.

Men’s & Women’s Doubles

The main draw of the men’s and women’s doubles matches will start from Tuesday, January 16. The men’s doubles final will be held on Saturday, January 27 while the women’s doubles final will be hosted on Sunday, January 28.

Mixed Doubles

The mixed doubles draw begins on Thursday, January 18 while this competition will run till Friday, January 26 when the final will be held.

Boys & Girls Junior Singles

The boys and girls junior singles draw starts off on Saturday, January 20.

The boys and girls junior doubles draw starts off on Sunday, January 21.

Men’s & Women’s Wheelchair Singles

The men’s and women’s wheelchair singles draw starts off on Tuesday, January 23.
