What Happened at the Previous Santiago Open?
In a hard-fought final, Nicolás Jarry overcame Argentina’s Tomás Martín Etcheverry, winning 6-7 (5), 7-6(5), 6-2 to grab his first ATP title in nearly four years. This was after the defending champion Pedro Martinez was knocked out in the first round.
Jarry, who was an unseeded player, overcame the fourth seeded Diego Schwartzman in the second round, before defeating Yannick Hanfmann and Jaume Munar after that.
