More about the 2024 Miami Open
The Indian Wells Masters is one of the Sunshine Double series tournaments which is typically played in the month of March. It’s held over two weeks, which makes it one of the original two tennis tournaments outside of Grand Slams to be hosted over that long.
Also called the BNP Paribas Open it’s hosted on the outdoor hardcourts of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, in Indian Wells, California, United States. It’s held on the ATP 1000 and WTA 1000 circuit.
First played in 1974, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have won it five times apiece, while the most trophies won on the women’s circuit are two by Martina Navratilova, Mary Joe Fernandez, Steffi Graf, Lindsay Davenport, Serena Williams, Kim Clijsters, Daniela Hantuchová, Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka.
