In the 2016 edition of the US Open, Denisa Allertova knocked out Ana Ivanovic – a former World No. 1, to register one of her biggest wins. Since then, the 26-year-old is yet to make a name for herself in any domain, considering that she plays mainly on the ITF circuit.
Currently ranked World No. 280, she recently got married and is returning to action after a hiatus of more than a month. Up until then, she had registered a few impressive runs in several ITF events.
For this fixture, she can seek some inspiration from her run in the Australian Open last season. Against all odds, she made it to the fourth round there, registering her single-best run in a Grand Slam.
