Karolina Pliskova v Johanna Konta Preview & Tips:

With a head to head so heavily seeped in favour of Karolina Pliskova – she leads 6-1 against Konta – it is easy to see why she starts a 8/13 favourite to win this one. Konta is 8/5 to cause an upset and make it to the quarter-final of her third successive Grand Slam. After all, Konta had defeated Sloane Stephens and Petra Kvitova to make the last-four stage at the 2019 Wimbledon.

However, Pliskova will be a different proposition, as her 45-12 win-loss record this year suggests. In fact, with three WTA titles under her belt this year, it’s easy to call Pliskova as the best current player to have not won a Grand Slam and that should make her very determined going into this one.

Pliskova v Konta Prediction: Pliskova to win: 8/13 (888Sport)

Daniil Medvedev v Dominik Koepfer Preview & Tips:

When Medvedev exhibited anger during his previous round win, and was roundly booed by the crowds, it seemed to have spurred him on even more. And he said it as much at the interview immediately after that match, even challenging the crowds to boo him more because that helps him immensely to focus.

Against a player ranked 118th in the world, and now that he is well-rested – unlike what was the case last match – Medvedev wouldn’t need all that. A clinical showing can be expected and a straight-set win should be his.

The usual caveats apply, complacency is the last thing you expect from the Russian given he is the favourite outside the Big Three to go the distance. Also, he could have Djokovic waiting for him in the next round, someone he wouldn’t want to face with a solid showing in this round.

Medvedev v Koepfer Prediction: Medvedev to win in straight sets: 21/20 (888Sport)

Elina Svitolina v Madison Keys Preview & Tips:

This is an interesting one; on paper, Ukraine’s Svitolina is a higher-ranked player than Madison Keys and should start a favourite but it’s the other way around. Because while Svitolina is the fifth seed and Keys seeded 10th, it’s the the American who has been calling the shots in recent times.

Keys, who was the finalist at the 2017 US Open, losing to Sloane Stephens, lost her way a tad after that but her recent performances point to a major resurrection. At the Australian Open where she lost to Svitolina at this very stage, she has won a title on clay – at Charleston – made the quarter-final at the French Open and then won the Cincinnati Open on a hard court surface.

Svitolina v Keys Prediction: Keys to win in three sets: 18/5 (888Sport)

Grigor Dimitrov v Alex de Minaur Preview & Tips:

Dimitrov looks like a surprise entrant in the fourth round after the kind of two seasons he has had but a kind draw and a walkover have helped. Alex de Minaur could just be the first tough opposition he faces and it would be interesting to see if he can push the Aussie to even a fourth set.

Dimitrov v de Minaur Prediction: Four sets in the match: 15/8 (888Sport)
