Bianca Andreescu v Aliaksandra Sasnovich Head to Head
This is the first meeting between the two players on the WTA Tour.
Andreescu, in a Scintillating Form
Around the same time last season, the 19-year-old Bianca Andreescu was outside the top 100. Now, she is World No. 5 and looks to cement her position with the elite tennis stars. Her rise to prominence is nothing short of inspiring and brilliant, having lost just four matches in the entire season.
With a win-loss tally of 45-4, she arrives in Beijing to kick start her China Open bid. Most recently, she won the US Open title – her third title of the season, by defeating none other than Serena Williams in the final in straight sets. The same tournament also saw her move past the likes of Belinda Bencic and Caroline Wozniacki.
By now, the young Canadian is more than accustomed to beating the top players. She also won the Rogers Cup and Indian Wells Open in a similar fashion where she dispatched Kiki Bertens, Karolina Pliskova, Elina Svitolina, and Angelique Kerber. Time after time, Andreescu has managed to perform with a level of consistency seen only in the likes of Serena Williams and other great giants.
For a brief period, she was also out of action due to a shoulder injury and consequently, missed the entire grass swing. There were concerns about her health and form when she returned to the tour but remarkably enough, she continued to play as if nothing had changed. If anything, she got way better.

Sasnovich, Struggling with Form
The 25-year-old Sasnovich is playing in her third Asian tournament this month and so far, she is 0-2. In Guangzhou and Wuhan, she fell right in the first round to Aleksandra Krunic and Aryna Sabalenka respectively. A majority of her season, in fact, has been along the same lines where she succumbed in the early stages.
Among her best runs include a semifinal stint in the WTA Sydney and a third-round run in the Australian Open and Madrid Open. As for record over top 10 players, she has defeated the likes of Svitolina and Daria Kasatkina this year.
Andreescu v Sasnovich Tips & Predictions
Andreescu, without a doubt, will start this match as the overwhelming favourite to win. We can expect her to win this one in straight sets without a difficulty. She is well-rested, determined, and is in a superb form.
