Matteo Berrettini v Jan-Lennard Struff Head to Head
The pair have met once before in Stuttgart earlier this year, Berrettini winning in straights sets on his way to the title.
Berrettini Looking to Find US Open Form Again
23 year old Berrettini has already been in three finals this year, winning two of them, in Budapest and Stuttgart, whilst he was also narrowly beaten in Munich as well. He also became the first Italian since 1977 to reach the semi-finals of the US Open, enjoying a fine run in the competition, before his challenge was ended by Rafael Nadal.
When that is added to the Challenger tour title that he won in Phoenix as well, then it has been a successful year for the Italian.
Results, though, have not been quite so impressive since Flushing Meadows. He was beaten in the quarter-finals of the St. Petersburg Open by the qualifier, Egor Gerasimov, whilst, last week in Beijing, he was knocked out in the first round by Andy Murray.

After a decade as a professional, Struff has enjoyed his best year on tour, reaching a career high ranking, and achieving his best ever result at a Grand Slam tournament, reaching the fourth round at Roland Garros. And he has also enjoyed some high profile wins over Alexander Zverev in Indian Wells, and Stefanos Tsitsipas in Cincinnati.
His best performance in singles came in Auckland where he got to the semi-finals, and he also reached the last eight in Barcelona, but it is in doubles where he has enjoyed his greatest success.
With partner Ben McLachlan he won the Auckland Open and was a runner-up in Dubai. Then, last month, he combined with Robert Lindstedt of Sweden, to win the Moselle Open.

Berrettini will start favourite to win this match at 5/6, whilst Struff is priced at 8/5. Berrettini won the only previous meeting between the pair in straight sets and, provided he is playing near to the top of his game, should have too much for the German.
