Adrian Mannarino v Andreas Seppi Predictions & Preview
Adrian Mannarino will take on Andreas Seppi in the Kremlin Cup for what will be their ninth meeting and a place in the final is up at stake. Both players have won four matches apiece so far, but on indoor courts, Mannarino holds a 2-0 advantage over his opponent. One of those two matches came last year at this very tournament, and interestingly at this very stage and Mannarino had won 7-5, 7-5 to set up a title-decider against Karen Khachanov.
Interestingly, Seppi has already disposed off Khachanov in the previous encounter, winning in three sets despite having gone into that match as a ran outsider. Down a set against the second seed Russian, Seppi rallied to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and set up this meeting with the Frenchman.
Mannarino did not waste too much time in getting past Dusan Lajovic in his quarter-final, winning his third successive match in straight sets. In fact here’s a telling stat from Mannarino’s matches. Of the last 13 wins he has registered, 12 have been in straight sets. A straight-set win for Mannarino looks like a distinct possibility here too, with the 44th-ranked Frenchman having shown enough good form to get past the 72nd-ranked Italian to make it to the final.

Marin Cilic v Andrey Rublev Predictions & Preview
Marin Cilic and Andrey Rublev meet for the third time in their career in the semi-finals of the Kremlin Cup ATP 250. They have split their two meetings with Rublev winning earlier this year at the Miami Open.
Both players careers seem to be headed in opposite directions at the moment. Former world number three and 2014 US Open winner Marin Cilic was a regular member of the top 10 in the ATP rankings, but has had a dismal season by any standards and is now ranked number 25 in the world. He has not won any ATP titles this year and it has been a year of injuries and poor losses for the Croat. Cilic has done well to defeat the likes of Ivo Karlovic and Jeremy Chardy and will be really looking for a deep run this weekend to boost his confidence as the season draws to a close.
On the other hand, Andrey Rublev is on a comeback after an injury-marred 2018. The rising Russian star has had a phenomenal last three months moving up from number 70 in the rankings to just outside the top 30. He has done well to defeat the likes of Roger Federer, Stanislas Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem and others in recent weeks, and will be looking at a title run at home here to further his ranking and confidence.
An exciting match on the cards, that could see some aggressive shot-making. Given the different trajectories their careers have taken in recent times, expect Rublev to win in two tight sets.
