Novak Djokovic v Stefanos Tsitsipas Predictions & Preview
This is the fourth meeting between Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas, with the young Greek leading the head-to-head 2-1, winning their most recent meeting at the quarterfinals few weeks ago at the ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai.
Novak Djokovic has had another strong year, and remained world number one through the year thus far, winning the Australian Open, Wimbledon, the Madrid Masters and the ATP 500 in Tokyo. Despite the intermittent dips in form at different points this year, and the shoulder injury that saw him pull out of the US Open, Djokovic has brought his best when it mattered the most, and looks on course for a tight race this week and in London with Rafael Nadal for the year end number one ranking. The world number one has come through both his matches in straight sets, but not without his moments of being challenged, and will look to step up the level getting deep into the tournament this week.
Stefanos Tsitsipas had a strong first half of the season, being a semi-finalist at the Australian Open, a finalist at the Madrid Masters 1000, winning titles at Marseille and Estoril, as well as making the second week at Roland Garros. After a disappointing grass and US hard court season, the Greek has made a comeback since, being a finalist at the China Open in Beijing, a semi-finalist in Shanghai, as well as a semi-finalist at Basel last week. Having secured his place at the Tour Finals in London next month, Tsitsipas has looked strong this week and will be hoping for another deep run here in Paris.
While Tsitsipas will believe he can get the better of the world number one having beaten him in Shanghai this year and Toronto in 2018, the Serb will be determined to set the record straight in this matchup. Expect a tussle ahead, with Djokovic winning in two tight sets

Gael Monfils v Denis Shapovalov Predictions & Preview
Following a five set thriller at the US Open earlier this year that was won by Monfils, this will be the second time these players meet each other in their careers.
While it has been a good year for Monfils, winning the ATP 500 title at Rotterdam and making the quarterfinals at the USOpen among other results, his season lost its tailwind in recent weeks. The Frenchman recovered well to be a semi-finalist at the ATP 500 in Vienna, and with a few other results going his way, is looking at a shot at the last spot at the Tour Finals in London, with his win over Radu Albot. A win in the quarter-finals against Shapovalov would ensure a second trip to the London Tour Finals for the Frenchman.
After a good start to the year, where he was a semi-finalist at the Miami Masters 1000, Shapovalov’s season took an unwelcome dip in form whereby he had several early losses through the late spring and summer. With Mikhail Youzhny’s addition to his coaching team, the Canadian’s season has been revived with semi-final showings during the Asian swing and winning his first ATP title in Stockholm. Shapovalov looked in good form when he defeated London Tour Finals hopeful Fabio Fognini in the opening round, followed by another top 10 win against Alexander Zverev.
A lot at stake in this match; Monfils looking to book a London spot and Shapovalov looking to further his strong run ahead of the Next Gen Tour Finals next week in Milan. It seems like Monfils may just scrape through in a deciding set.

Grigor Dimitrov v Cristain Garin Predictions & Preview
This is the first meeting between Grigor Dimitrov and Cristain Garin, with both looking at a potential first Paris Masters 1000 semi-final for themselves.
Grigor Dimitrov, who has otherwise had a poor season, was able to salvage some of it, with a US Open semi-finals appearance defeating Roger Federer in the previous round. However, the latter part of the season since has not been too positive either and he has been looking to end well on the indoor surface. It has been a good week for the Bulgarian, defeating London hopeful David Goffin, followed by a convincing win against London contender Dominic Thiem, both in straight sets.
It has been a breakthrough year for young Chilean Cristain Garin, reaching three finals and winning Houston, and Munich. He is in his first Masters 1000 quarterfinals and looking at ending the year on a strong note, especially outside his favored surface (clay). Garin has battled well to defeat John Isner and Jeremy Chardy in two tight matches and will be hoping to carry forward the momentum.
An interesting and contrasting matchup, and while one would take nothing away from Garin, the Bulgarian would definitely start as favorite on a fast indoor surface. Expect Dimitrov to make the semi-finals in straight sets.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga v Rafael Nadal Predictions & Preview
This is the 14th meeting between these two players and Nadal leads the head-to-head 9-4. Their only meeting here at the Paris Indoors was 10 years ago, which Nadal won in straight sets.
Former world number five, French veteran Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has been on the comeback from a long injury lay-off. While he is yet to reach the heights that he did earlier in his career, the Frenchman has done well to win titles in Montpellier and Moselle, as he continues to remain a force on the faster surfaces. With the home crowds and familiar conditions, the 2008 Paris Masters champion has had a good run thus far with some confidence boosting victories against the likes of Matteo Berrettini and Andrey Rublev.
Having won the French & US Opens, bringing his slam count to 19 titles, Nadal was also a finalist at the Australian Open, and a Wimbledon semi-finalist. He also won the Rome and Montreal Masters 1000 titles, and currently ranked number two in the world, has a more than realistic chance of overtaking Novak Djokovic to be the year end world number one. Returning from a wrist injury as well as from his wedding, Nadal is looking to hit peak form, both here and at the Tour Finals in London. He may have started off looking a little rusty in his opener against Adrian Mannarino but has managed to take care of business convincingly against both Mannarino and Stanislas Wawrinka in straight sets.
Although Nadal has been convincing in this head-to-head, Tsonga has looked strong this week, spurred on by the home fans. Expect a tough match for Nadal here, but he should prevail in a three-setter.
