Alex De Minaur v Casper Ruud Predictions & Preview
Alex De Minaur and Casper Ruud meet for the first time in their career in the last round of matches of the group stages of the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan.
At the back of a strong season, Aussie Alex de Minaur continued his strong form winning his first two matches against Miomir Kemanovic and Alejandro Davidovich, and in turn having all but qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament yet again. He has reached four finals this year, winning titles at Sydney, Atlanta, Zhuhai and being runner-up to Roger Federer at Basel and is definitely a strong favorite going into the latter half of the tournament.
Having lost in straight sets to Kekmanovic, and edging out Davidovich in a five-setter, it is an uphill task for Norwegian Casper Ruud, as he is up against the pre-tournament favorite De Minaur. Ruud has had a good season as he is ranked just outside the top 50 in the world, but he has not yet been able to gather momentum in the first two matches and will need a strong start here against the Aussie.
An exciting match ahead of us with a lot to play for Ruud in particular. Given the form of the two players at the moment, it is difficult to see the Norwegian prevail here. Expect De Minaur to win in four sets.

Ugo Humbert v Jannik Sinner Predictions & Preview
This is the first meeting between the two players.
18-year-old Sinner began the year ranked outside the top 500 in the ATP rankings. Having had a successful run on the ATP Challenger Circuit, the Italian made the semi-finals of the ATP 250 at Antwerp and has moved to within the top 100 in the world after his first full year on the tour. The Italian continued his strong run of form this week winning both his matches and having already qualified for the semi-finals. He will look to continue his run of form and top the group.
It has been a strong year for Humbert, making the round of 16 at Wimbledon, and being a semi-finalist in Marseille and Antwerp defeating Borna Coric and David Goffin in either tournament. The Frenchman who broke into the top 100 in 2018, is now ranked number 46th in the world. But, this week has not been the best for him, having lost both his matches and out of reckoning for proceeding further in the tournament.
Sinner has been in good form and with Humbert playing for academic reasons, expect Sinner to win this in four sets.

Frances Tiafoe v Mikael Ymer Predictions & Preview
Frances Tiafoe plays Swede Mikael Ymer in what will be the third group stage match for either player here in Milan. This will be the first meeting between the two players.
After a promising 2018, where he won his first ATP title at the Delray Beach Open, Tiafoe has not lived up to expectations this season. Apart from a quarterfinal showing at the Australian Open, 2019 has seen disappointing early losses for the American. Tiafoe was hoping for a good run this week in Milan, setting himself up for a stronger 2020; but a four set loss against Jannik Sinner set him on the backfoot early on. A hard-fought win against Frenchman Ugo Humbert keeps him in the running for a semi-final berth going into his last match here.
Swede Mikel Ymer has had a successful season on the ATP Challenger Circuit, playing five finals and winning four titles as well as scalping the likes of Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. He has moved into the top 75 of the ATP rankings, being ranked outside the top 200 a year ago. Ymer has lived up to his billing with an impressive win against Humbert, just like Tiafoe, in turn putting himself in a similar position going into the last group stage match.
This match is now a quarter-final in essence with the winner in all probability joining Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals from this group. A tussle on the cards, with Tiafoe inching through in a five-setter.

Miomir Kekmanovic v Alejandro Davidovich Fokina
Serbian Miomir Kemanovic meets Alejandro Davidovich Fokina for the first time in his career.
Serbia’s Miomir Kekmanovic won his first ever ATP match this season and did well to be a finalist on the grass courts of Antalya and a semi-finalist at Indian Wells, as well as defeat the likes of Alexander Zverev at the Cincinnati Masters. Despite a four set loss to the in-form De Minaur, Kekmanovic was convincing in his straight sets win against Ruud, and looks set to qualify for the semi-finals here.
Although he has lost both his matches thus far, world number 97 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina still has a mathematical chance of qualifying for the semi-finals. Having lost to De Minaur and then to Ruud in a tight match, the Spaniard has shown he has the skills to outplay the others in the draw, and will need to be at his best against the relatively more seasoned Serb.
Expect a tight battle here with Kekmanovic edging through in four sets.
