Players from around the globe will be invited to participate in this event in its second consecutive year of running. The event is divided into two segments: the Charity Pro-Am and the Competitive Solos events.

The Charity Pro-Am will be held on Saturday, February 1, where professionals and amateurs will compete for a $AUD 100,000 cash prize.

The Competitive Solos segment will be held just a few hours prior to the finals of the first Grand Slam of the year featuring a massive play of $AUD 400,000.

The biggest gaming event of Australia drew almost 11.3 million combined views on YouTube and saw 50 professional gamers and celebrities take part in the Charity Pro-Am event.

The event hosted some of the biggest names in the gaming industry such as Lachlan, Dr Lupo, Lazarbean, Loserfruit and Vikkstar as they teamed up with celebrities like Jacko Brazier, Nick Kyrgios and Dave Hughes for the Pro-Am event.

Last year, the duo of MrFreshAsian and Jacko Brazier won the Charity Pro-Am event with Australian Jesse Eckley winning the top prize at the solo championships.

Promoted as a sporting event to promote more Australian players, the tournament, according to Mark Ridley, the event organiser is “pretty special and shows their investment” in the cause.

The event is anticipated to be one of the big events of the year in games and being held during such an important time of the tennis calendar, it is sure to be viewed by millions across the world.

Fans will have the privilege of being on the same floor as the gamers with on floor tickets being sold for the event. The tickets start at a nominal $10 for children and $54 for adults which gives access to the entire Australian Open precinct and the Live Stage which will feature big artists like the British band Bastille and Australian singer-songwriter Ziggy Alberts.
