The morning session of the opening day will see Belgium take on Moldova, USA play Norway and Greece be up against Canada.

David Goffin leads the challenge for Belgium, who should start off as favourites against a Radu Albot-led Moldovan side. Also in the Belgian squad is Steve Darcis as their second singles player while it becomes a lot tougher for Moldova, whose second-best player is the 800+-ranked Alexander Cozbinov.

USA will take on Norway at the same time, with John Isner and Taylor Fritz looking to ace their opponents. Norway has Casper Ruud who could surprise his opponent but Viktor Durasovic is ranked 338th in the world and their second singles player.

Lastly, Tsitsipas might be the favourite to win his singles match against Canada’s Denis Shapovalov, but his team’s problem will be the results of the other matches. Michail Pervolarakis will be their second singles player and up against Felix Auger-Aliassime, another top player in the Canadian setup.

Hosts Australia will lead the play in the evening session as they kick-start their campaign against the much-fancied Germany. Russia take on Italy and Bulgaria will be up against Great Britain in the other two ties for the night.

Alex de Minaur and Nick Kyrgios will turn out for Australia as they feature in their singles against Zverev and Jan-Lennard Struff, while Russia’s Daniil Medvedev will be a favourite against Fabio Fognini of Italy. Russia will also be bolstered by the presence of Karen Khachanov who shouldn’t have too many issues against Stefano Travaglia.

With Andy Murray having withdraw from the ATP Cup – and Australian Open – Great Britain’s chances will now be in the hands of Dan Evans and Cameron Norrie, who will be up against Grigor Dimitrov and Dimitar Kuzmanov in their opening tie.
