Stanislas Wawrinka v Aljaz Bedene Predictions & Preview

Top seed Stanislas Wawrinka plays Aljaz Bedene in the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 in Doha. The players have met four time prior, with the Swiss leading the head-to-head 3-1. Three of their four meetings have been at the erstwhile Chennai Open ATP 250 held in India.

After a first round bye, Wawrinka looked in good form to defeat French veteran Jeremy Chardy in straight sets. On the other hand, Bedene defeated upcoming stars Mikael Ymer and Alexander Bublik in the first two rounds respectively.

Former world number three Wawrinka was out for the second half of 2017 and most of 2018 with recurring knee issues, but did well to return to the tour in 2019. A series of spirited performances by the Swiss saw him end the year ranked within the top 20 of the ATP rankings.

Veteran Bedene has been on the tour for a considerable amount of time and although he has put in several solid performances, has never managed to maintain the consistency to move him up further in the rankings where he has continued to remain just outside the top 50 in the world.

A good contest awaits us; but Wawrinka begins as favorite and should win in two well-fought sets

Tip: Wawrinka to win in straight sets: 10/11 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Andrey Rublev v Pierre – Hugues Herbert Predictions & Preview

Russian Andrey Rublev plays French doubles specialist Pierre-Hugues Herbert for the first time in his career.

Young Russian Rublev sprung on the scene at the age of 21, but then went through a difficult patch in 2018 with injuries and poor form that saw him drop considerably in the ATP rankings.

He made a strong comeback in the second half of 2019, winning the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, being a finalist at the Hamburg ATP 500, defeating top ten ranked players and moving up to just outside the top 20 in the ATP rankings.

Rublev had a first round bye, and followed it with a convincing win against Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazhakstan.

French doubles specialist Pierre-Hugues Herbert has continued to focus more on his singles game since last season and is currently ranked outside the top 50 in the world. With a strong net game, Herbert has been a force on the faster hard court and indoor surfaces.

With convincing wins in the first two rounds against Marco Cecchinato and Laslo Djere, Herbert has got his season off to a good start and will be looking for a deeper run in Doha this week.

An interesting match-up ahead of us, with the young Russian winning in two tight sets the most likely outcome.

Tip: Rublev to win in straight sets: 10/13 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Fernando Verdasco v Corentin Moutet Predictions & Preview

Veteran Spaniard Fernando Verdasco plays Next Gen Frenchman Corentin Moutet in the quarter-finals at Doha. This is the first meeting between these players, on the tour.

2017 Doha semi-finalist Verdasco has looked in good form this tournament defeating fellow countryman and veteran Pablo Andujar followed by a convincing win against Serbian Filip Krajinovic, winning the final set 6-0.

Exhibiting strong court coverage and dictating points well from the back of the court, veteran Verdasco will look to do the same here against Moutet.

After successful Challenger and Futures tours, young Frenchman Moutet broke into the top 100 with a promising showing in the main draws including a third round appearance at the 2019 French Open.

Moutet put up the best performance of his career in the previous round here in Doha, defeating big serving Canadian Milos Raonic in straight sets in two tiebreaks.

A clash between two different playing styles; expect this match to be decided by a few points most likely,  with the experienced Verdasco to win in a decider.

Tip: Verdasco to win in three sets: 7/5 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)

Martin Fucsovics v Miomir Kecmanovic Predictions & Preview

Hungarian Martin Fucsovics and Serbian Next Gen Miomir Kecmanovic meet for the first time in the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 in Doha.

Fucsovics has had good portions of the last two seasons, especially on the slow clay courts but performed at a sub-par level on the hard and indoor surfaces and fallen in the rankings to number 70 in the world.

He has looked in good form this week, winning his qualifiers as well as first two round against Frances Tiafoe and Cem Ilkel, exhibiting some of the form that had elevated his ranking to the top 30 in the world.

Next Gen rising star Miomir Kekmanovic sprung on the scene in 2019, with a convincing win against Alexander Zverev at the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinatti.

He has followed it with promising performances at different times on the tour, and his victory here in Doha in the previous round against French veteran Jo-Wilfriend Tsonga will rank among the highlights of his short career thus far.

A match to look forward; expect the more seasoned Fucsovics to win in three sets

Tip: Fucsovics to win in three sets: 16/5 (Click here to get these odds with Unibet)
