Simona Halep v Jennifer Brady Head to Head

Ranked 49th in the world, Jennifer Brady has entered the top 50 for the first time in her career. And that was on the back of a solid showing at Brisbane International when, as a qualifier she made it to the quarterfinal where she was defeated by Petra Kvitova.
However, that was after she had defeated Maria Sharapova in round one but more vitally in the second, when she shocked the world number Ash Barty. That was a win which should raise her profile in world tennis, but most vitally should give her the confidence going into a high-profile match of a high-profile tournament like this.
With a 31-16 win-loss record on hard court surfaces in 2019, Brady will kick-start the Australian Open with a lot of confidence and might even fancy her chances here.
