Raonic was in his best form in 2016 and for a long time was a contender to break the triple bond of Federer, Djokovic, and Nadal.
The Canadian had reached the semi-final of Australian Open in that year and also to the final of Wimbledon in the same year. Although his form dripped from then augmented also with a lot of injuries, he reached the quarter-finals of this year’s Australian Open and that must give him some confidence.
Kyrgios on the other hand will also look to defend his title and even he must seem confident having made to the fourth round in Melbourne. At the ATP Cup, he also won three out of the four matches.
