Filip Krajinovic v Gregoire Barrere Head to Head
This will be the first ever match between the 44th-ranked Krajinovic and 91st-ranked Barrere.
Krajinovic Looking to Build on Good Indoor Record
Last season, the Serb played 15 matches on indoor courts and won 10 of them, including a runner-up trophy at the Stockholm Open. This had followed a couple of quarterfinals, at Montpellier and Metz and by getting to the last-eight stage, he has already defended his points from this tournament.
What Krajinovic will hope for is to push on to the next round, following on from his mediocre start to the season. There were wins in the opening rounds at Doha and Australian Open but they were both followed by defeats – Fernando Verdasco at the former and Roger Federer in the latter.
Here, at Montpellier, he has made an even more sterling start. Not only has he won two rounds but also done that with a lot to spare. A rout of Enzo Couacaud Enzo in the first round was followed by another straightforward win over Mikael Ymer in the second round and he now should come out all guns blazing against Barrere.

Barrere Stuns Dimitrov to Make the Quarterfinal
Last season, Barrere participated in a plethora of Challenger competitions and won two of them. The surface on which he won them? Indoor hard courts.
He also made it to the quarterfinal at just one ATP tournament, and again, the same story. It was on the indoor hard courts of Metz.
Which is why it should come as no surprise he has reserved his best showing of the season so far on the same surface, to go with getting to the quarterfinal here in Montpellier.
And in doing so, he has already beaten Joao Sousa and upset Grigor Dimitrov, winning a thrilling, three-setter against the Bulgarian. Can he now take that one step further?
Filip Krajinovic v Gregoire Barrere Predictions & Tips
This might not be straightforward for Krajinovic, and we could see another, fighting three-setter. If you are looking to go for a high-risk-high-return market, a Krajinovic win in three sets looks to be an option but we are looking at this being a three-setter.
