Another Marseille Title On The Cards For Tsitsipas
World number six Stefanos Tsitsipas had a very good run last season, and is among the leading members expected to carry on the baton from the ‘Big Three’.
2019 was an impressive season for him where he won titles at Marseille and at Estoril, before winning the year-end ATP Tour Finals at the O2 arena in London.
Prior to this week, it has not been the most ideal season for the Greek thus far in 2020.
The ATP Cup performance did not meet expectations, and Tsitsipas faced an early third-round loss at the Australian Open against Milos Raonic.
After recovering from a set and a break down in his opener against Hubert Hurkacz at the ATP 500 in Rotterdam last week, Tsitsipas lost in straight sets to underdog Aljaz Bedene in the next round.
The Greek arrived in Marseille as defending champion against a very stacked field. Tsitsipas has looked in good form this week, with two very convincing straight set wins against young Swede Mikail Ymer and followed it with another strong showing against in-form Vasek Pospisil of Canada.
Bublik Gaining In Form & Confidence
Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik has been on the tour for a relatively short period of time and has made a mark with his persona’ and playing style already.
In 2019, Bublik made the finals of the Newport Hall of Fame Championships on grass and the ATP 250 Chengdu Open.
2020 has not got off to the best of starts for the young Kazakh, with several early round losses after a convincing start at Adelaide, the Australian Open, Montpellier and Rotterdam.
The week at Marseille started against Benoit Paire and when Bublik was down a set, it looked like another early exit looming, but he came back to win in a decider.
In his next match against Next Gen star Denis Shapovalov, Bublik was again in a deciding third set and prevailed to win again, increasing his confidence and setting himself up for a semi-final against Tsitsipas.
Stefanos Tsitsipas v Alexander Bublik Predictions & Tips

Both have been in good form this week. While Bublik will be a challenging opponent, Tsitipas is the more experienced, and has hit some very clinical form this week.
