Stefanos Tsitsipas v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head
The players have met three times, all in 2019, with Auger-Aliassime leading 2-1. While the Canadian won on the hard courts of Indian Wells, and the Queen’s Club grass, Tsitsipas pulled one back at the Shanghai masters.

Tsitsipas Looking At Back-To-Back Marseille Titles
After a very good run last season, Tsitsipas has been earmarked as being among the leading members of the ‘Next Gen’ expected to carry on the baton from the ‘Big Three’.
In 2019, Tsitsipas won titles at Marseille and Estoril, before winning the year-end ATP Tour Finals at the O2 arena in London.
The 2020 season did not get off to the most ideal of starts for young Tsitsipas.
The ATP Cup performance was below expectations, following which, Tsitsipas faced an early third-round loss at the Australian Open against Milos Raonic.
The Rotterdam 500 followed, where after recovering from a set and a break down in his opener against Hubert Hurkacz, Tsitsipas lost in straight sets to underdog Aljaz Bedene in the next round.
The Greek arrived in Marseille as defending champion under a fair bit of pressure. Tsitsipas has been in good form this week, with convincing straight set wins against young Swede Mikail Ymer, the in-form Vasek Pospisil of Canada, and rising Kazakhstan star Alexander Bublik.
Will Fifth Final Bring Auger-Aliassime A Debut Title
Nineteen-year old Felix Auger-Aliassime qualified for three ATP finals in 2019, which included impressive wins against players such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Nick Kyrgios and Grigor Dimitrov among others, and left one with high expectations for 2020.
After a disappointing Australian Open and an early loss in Montpellier, the Canadian was a finalist at the Rotterdam 500 last week, where he was runner-up to in-form Gael Monfils.
Auger-Aliassime came to Marseile in good form after a tiring week at Rotterdam.
The Canadian ran into two tough battles in the opening rounds, but prevailed saving match points in both matches against Italian Stefano Travaglia and Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
Auger-Aliassime had more routine wins since, in the quarter-finals against Belarusian Egor Gerasimov and in the semi-finals against Gilles Simon, making back-to-back finals and looking at a first title on the cards perhaps.
