Novak Djokovic v Malek Jaziri Head to Head
The two players have met once in their career, in the opening round of the Dubai Open in 2016, which the Serb won in straight sets dropping only three games.

Djokovic 13-0 in 2020, Hungry For More
Four-time Dubai champion and 17-time major title winner, Novak Djokovic returns to Dubai for the first time since 2016. Incidentally, that year he had the same opponent in his opener.
2019 saw Djokovic win the Australian Open and Wimbledon, but the last third of the year was far from optimal for the world number one.
Djokovic pulled out in the fourth round of the US Open after being down two sets to love against Stan Wawrinka, due to recurring shoulder and elbow issues. Despite winning the Paris Masters, he exited in the quarters at the Beijing Masters, did not go past the group stages of the ATP Tour Finals and lost the race for the year end world number one ranking to Rafa Nadal.
It has been a sublime 2020 for Djokovic who led Team Serbia to victory in the inaugural ATP Cup Down Under, defeating Denis Shapovalov, Daniil Medvedev, and Rafa Nadal enroute.
He followed it with a record extending eighth Australian Open title defeating Dominic Thiem in a classic five-setter to win the final, and extending his record for 2020 to 13-0.
With the Sunshine Masters a fortnight away, Djokovic will look at a strong run here in Dubai, and with defending champion Roger Federer pulling out with knee surgery, the Serb will fancy his chances at a title win here this week.

Veteran Jaziri Draws A Top Seed in Dubai Opener Again
Tunisian Malek Jaziri has been on the tour for more than a decade and a half, and at 36 years of age, is in the twilight of his career.
At the Dubai Open draw this year, he joked how he had drawn Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov as top seeds in the opening rounds in previous years, and as luck would have it, he plays the world number one in the opener again.
In 2018 he stunned top seed and then world number four Grigor Dimitrov in the opener, and defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas here in Dubai, and was a semi-finalist. The same year, he made the finals at Istanbul, which is the only ATP final of his career thus far, and reached a career high number 42 ranking that year.
This is his first main draw on the ATP tour in 2020, as he lost in the qualifiers of the Maharashtra Open and has only appeared on the Challenger Tour this year, with a ranking as low as 259.
Novak Djokovic v Malek Jaziri Predictions & Tips
This match is expected to provide no surprises to anyone, with the form the two players have been in recently.
With Djokovic undefeated this year thus far, and a four-time champion here in Dubai, it will be difficult to pick against him regardless of who his opponent is.
Jaziri has been in poor form recently, and at age 36, ranked 259, one does not foresee him causing much trouble to Djokovic.
Expect a straight sets win for the Serbian world number one.
