Tennis News Today: French Open Broadcasting Changes Hands from 2021

Will French Open be played?

The French Open will be broadcast on the Infront-controlled broadcasting and production firm, HBS from 2021. This was after the decision was made to award the company the host broadcasting rights for a three-year period between 2021-23.

The French Tennis Federation (FTT) had issued a tender last year after opting to bring the broadcasting production in-house and HBS won the rights to do the same.

There are about 150 broadcasters for the French Open each year and the production of the tournament live broadcast will now be done by the FTT.

The 2020 edition of the French Open at Roland-Garros begins on May 24 and will go on till June 7 when the men’s singles final gets played. Rafael Nadal and Ash Barty will start off as the men’s and women’s singles defending champions.
