Aryna Sabalenka v Madison Brengle Head to Head
This will be the second match between Sabalenka and Brengle with the former leading 1-0. That sole match had come in the first round of the Miami Open with Sabalenka winning 6-1, 6-4.

Sabalenka Resuming Action after Nearly Six Months Away
The last time Sabalenka was on court playing a WTA match, it was in Doha, lifting her seventh title. She came through in straight sets against Petra Kvitova in the final after having gotten past Anett Kontaveit, Maria Sakkari and Svetlana Kuznetsova at various times during that competition.
She was only just getting warmed up after having struggled at the start of the season with a first round exit at the Australian Open, and just a couple of wins in Dubai. Unfortunately for her, the season ended soon after, and that might have Sabalenka a bit more disappointed than most.
Sabalenka had much to look for in this season after all. She was coming off one in which she won her most titles, three of them, of which one was the WTA Elite Trophy, to go with the Wuhan Open and Shenzhen Open titles. The question now is if she is physically and mentally up there for the resumption or will there be an inevitable shrugging of rustiness needed for the Belarusian?

Brengle with a Title This Year
79th-ranked Brengle has been participating in a lot of the lower-tiered competitions having failed to qualify for the main draw at Brisbane and Hobart this year. Ranked 35th at her best, Brengle went on to win a title at the Newport Beach Open and was a semifinalist at the Nicholasville ITF before the season was called off.
That Newport Beach Open tournament win was the first of her career, and what makes things interesting is she also played in a few matches on the hard courts of the Grand Slam Tennis Tour MatchPlay last month. Brengle won all four matches in straight sets to signal her intentions of returning back with a bang.
She has a rather tough opponent to start things off here in Lexington but she should take heart from the lack of match practice for Sabalenka. If Brengle can start off aggressively, she should be able to able to put Sabalenka on a back-foot but the question is if she can maintain that kind of a momentum throughout the match.
Aryna Sabalenka v Madison Brengle Prediction & Tip
Despite Sabalenka’s rustiness, she is an obvious favourite with bet365 offering 2/9 for her win. We, however, think, this might not be a straightforward one for Sabalenka and are looking at the over/game market.
Tip: Over 19.5 games in the match: 4/5 (bet365)
