Stan Wawrinka v Oscar Otte Head to Head
This will be the first time Wawrinka plays the 216th-ranked Otte in their careers.

Wawrinka Starts off with a Three-Setter
It was never expected to be easy for Wawrinka who was making a return to tennis for the first time since the pandemic break. And while he ran away with the first set of his second round match – he had an opening round bye – Wawrinka dropped the second set to his unheralded opponent Roman Safiullin.
In the third set yet again, Wawrinka re-discovered his form and mojo to run away with it and the match, winning the set 6-1 and the match in three.
Wawrinka will be glad with the outcome. With the French Open expected to be at the centre of Wawrinka’s expectations, he would want to go deeper into this tournament to be able to get some much-valued practice under his belt.

Otte on an Eight-Match Winning Streak
While he is ranked outside the top 200, Otte has been very active during the pandemic break, having played in the DTB German Pro Series and the International Premier League, both of which were hosted in Germany. At the former, he finished with a win-loss record of 12-4 against fellow German compatriots.
However, it was at the International Premier League that Otte was able to establish his form even further. He went on a six-match winning streak in that competition, but more vitally did not drop a single set, facing just two tie-breakers in that entire period.
And with Otte starting off with that kind of confidence going into this Prague Challenger, he added a couple of victories here as well. Again, in straight sets, and this time against better opponents (Malek Jaziri and Arthur Rinderknech)
While Wawrinka will be a different kettle of fish, it could be a tighter match than the ranking difference suggests…
Stan Wawrinka v Oscar Otte Prediction & Tip
Yep, Wawrinka’s 17th in the world to Otte’s 216th but don’t let that deter you from considering a lot tighter match than usual. A three-setter in all probability can be expected.
Tip: Three sets in the match: 6/4 (bet365)
