Richard Gasquet v Jeffrey Wolf Head to Head
This will be the first time that the experienced Gasquet and 21-year-old Wolf will be facing off in a match at this level.

Gasquet Started off His Season Late
Having not played at the Australian Open or any of the other competitions in the month of January, Gasquet was late to the ATP tour this year. In his very first tournament at the Montpellier Open, Gasquet reached the last eight stage before ending up a surprise loser to Vasek Pospisil and then lost his opening round match at the another home competition in Marseille.
In what turned out to be his last tournament before the pandemic-induced break, Gasquet reached the Dubai Open quarterfinal where he went down in straight sets to fellow Frenchman Gael Monfils.
During the tour suspension, Gasquet participated in both the editions of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, making it to the semifinal in the first before losing to Matteo Berrettini. In the second edition he won three of his four matches.

Wolf With an Excellent Record at the Lower Level
Having won his first Futures event in 2017, Wolf has since then pocketed four Challenger competitions including two this year. And all of these tournament wins have come on hard court surfaces.
Such has been Wolf’s record, this year he has won 21 of his 25 matches, which has included victories over the likes of Yuichi Sugita, Denis Istomin and Tennys Sandgren.
The 144th-ranked Wolf featured in the Grand Slam Tennis Tours MatchPlay exhibition competition during the pandemic break and won four of his five matches, before entering the qualifiers at the Western & Southern Open and making the main draw. With wins over Egor Gerasimov and Jaume Munar, both of whom are ranked way higher than Wolf, it would have given the American a lot of confidence going into this encounter.
Richard Gasquet v Jeffrey Wolf Prediction & Tip
You would expect the experience of Gasquet to make him an overwhelming favourite and he is 8/15 to win this. Slightly surprised Wolf starts off as short as 11/8 to surprise his opponent. We will prefer going with the games market with a fighting match in the offing.
Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 10/11 (bet365)
