Karen Khachanov v Pablo Carreno Busta Head to Head
The pair have played each other three times, and Carreno Busta leads their head to head series by two matches to one.
The Spaniard won their first match on clay in Monte Carlo in 2017, and again in the Rogers Cup a few months later. However, Khachanov got his revenge in Montreal the following year.

Khachanov, Russian Number Two
24-year old Khachanov is the second-ranked Russian behind Daniil Medvedev and has won four ATP titles, but none since 2018, when he won his solitary Masters event in Paris.
Although primarily regarded as a hard-court player, he was a surprise quarter-finalist in clay in Paris last year, although he failed to get beyond the third round in any other of the Grand Slams.
He began 2020 by helping Russia reach the semi-finals of the ATP Cup, but lost in the first round in Auckland, and was defeated by Nick Kyrgios in the third round in Melbourne after a five-set epic.
Khachanov subsequently reached the quarter-finals in Dubai, but was then soundly beaten by the world number one Novak Djokovic.
Since the resumption of the sport, he has played only exhibition games, but showed no signs of rust in defeating Alexander Bublik of the Ukraine in straight sets in their first-round match on Sunday.

Carreno Busta, an Experienced and Wily Campaigner
29-year old Carreno Busta is an experienced and wily campaigner, who has won four ATP titles, the most recent of which came in Chengdu, last autumn.
The following month, he also reached the semi-finals of the Stockholm Open.
2020 did not start well for him though. He got to the second round in Auckland and though he made the third round in Melbourne, he was then soundly beaten by compatriot Rafael Nadal.
There were then early losses in Montpellier and Dubai, but that was sandwiched by a run to the semi-finals in Rotterdam before he was beaten by Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Like Khachanov he has played exhibition matches since lockdown, but enjoyed an impressive return to competitive action on Saturday, beating the higher ranked Dusan Lajovic of Serbia in straight sets.
Karen Khachanov v Carreno Busta Prediction & Tip
This is likely to be a close match between the Russian and the experienced Spaniard, Khachanov will know that he needs to be at his best against Carreno Busta, but, if he can find top form, should have enough to prevail.
Tip: Khachanov to win in straight sets: 6/4 (bet365)
