Grigor Dimitrov v Marton Fucsovics Head to Head
This will be the first competitive meeting between Dimitrov and Fucsovics.

In 2017, Dimitrov made it as far as the semifinal at the Australian Open, won the Cincinnati Masters title and then went on to qualify for and lift the ATP Finals trophy. It was also the year in which he won two other ATP titles.
As it turned out, those four tournament wins were the last of his career. Dimitrov has never won again, fallen to 78th in the world in 2019 an in general looked a pale shadow of what was expected out of him.
There has been bit of a resurrection towards the end of 2019 when he made the semifinal of the US Open and repeated that at the Paris Masters. And then earlier this he also entered the semifinal at Acapulco, all of which aiding him in returning back to the top 20 of the rankings.
Now, in the first round here, he was a 6-3, 6-4 winner over Ugo Humbert, to give another indicator the worst is behind him.

Fucsovics Rushes Past Gombos
Hungarian qualifier Fucsovics hasn’t dropped a set in this tournament so far. He won his first qualifying round 6-2, 6-4 against Brandon Nakashima before making it to the main draw with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Pedro Martinez.
And then in his opener, facing another qualifier, the world number 84 rolled past him 6-3, 6-4 to enter the second round of the Western & Southern Open. It’s also the tournament in which he had made it to the third round in 2018, his best result at Masters competitions.
Fucsovics brings into this match oodles of confidence from having made the quarterfinal of the Qatar Open as a qualifier and then taking a set off Roger Federer in the fourth round of the Australian Open. Again, that pre-quarterfinal appearance at the year’s first Grand Slam was his joint-best showing ever in majors.
