Frances Tiafoe v Andreas Seppi Head to Head
The pair have met once before at the Australian Open last year, Tiafoe winning a five-set battle.

Tiafoe Looking to Rediscover his Form
Tiafoe had a highly successful junior career, winning the US National Championships, and he translated that form into the junior tours, where he has won four Challenger titles.
On the senior ATP tour, his breakthrough year came in 2018, when he won his first senior title in Delray Beach, beating Peter Gojowczyk in the final. Three months later, he also reached the final in Estoril, before losing to Joao Sousa.
Then the following January, he reached the quarter-final stage in Melbourne, beating Kevin Anderson and Grigor Dimitrov along the way, until his run was ended by Rafael Nadal.
That gave him a career high ranking of 29, but he has not been able to sustain that form, although he did make the play-offs of the NextGen ATP finals in Milan last November, before he was beaten by Alex de Minaur.
He was unable to repeat his heroics in Melbourne this year, losing to Daniil Medvedev in the first round, and his best run after that came in Delray Beach again, where he reached the third-round.
He lost to Andy Murray in the first round of the Cincinnati Open.

Seppi In the Twilight of his Career
Seppi, at the age of 36, is now in the twilight of his career, and, although he has been a top-20 player, is currently ranked 88 in the world. He has won three ATP titles, but they all were claimed in a purple 15-month spell between 2011 and 2012.
However, in something of a late career renaissance, he did reach the final in Sydney last year, before losing to de Minaur. And he repeated that feat in February, before the lockdown, eventually losing in straight sets to Kyle Edmund.
He has never been further than the fourth round of any Grand Slam event, with his best in New York being runs to the third round – a feat he has managed on three occasions, although none since 2015.
Prior to that performance in New York in February, he reached the second round in Auckland, only to lose to Edmund again, and was beaten at the same stage in Melbourne by Stan Wawrinka.
He was beaten in the first round of the Cincinnati Open by Kwon Soonwoo of South Korea, the world number 71.
Frances Tiafoe v Andreas Seppi Prediction & Tip
Tiafoe is the younger of the two men by 14 years, and won their only previous meeting, albeit narrowly. He should have the edge in this match.
Tip: Tiafoe to win in four sets: 3/1 (bet365)
