Andy Murray v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between the 20-year-old Auger-Aliassime and Murray, who is 34 years old.

Murray Comes Back from the Death
He has gone through a career-altering surgery.
He was down by two sets to none.
He also faced a match-point.
And he still won.
Andy Murray has been going through a lot but when he walked out to play his first round match against Yoshihito Nishioka, it looked like he wouldn’t have too many issues.
Instead, he found himself going down two sets to nothing, 6-4, 6-4 and then had to endure tie-breakers in the next two sets to make a comeback. And in the end, won the final set 6-4 to clinch a place in the second round.
What’s interesting to note is Murray managed just four breaks of serve of the six break-points he had. His opponent had 16 chances to break him and did so six times too.
Both hit similar number of winners but Murray’s 77 unforced errors was 27 more than his opponent’s.
And he still won. It was a jailbreak, one he is famous for, as Murray joined Roger Federer as the only two players to win 10 five-setters from being two sets down.
The more interesting bit happened after the match when Murray admitted he needed an ice-bath for recovery which, in pandemic times like this, would have been difficult to manage.
Either way, it is going to be a tough one for a player who has had fitness issues and his 20th-ranked opponent will look to take advantage of that.

Auger-Aliassime in a Fight of His Own
Now Auger-Aliassime’s first round match against Thiago Monteiro wasn’t cut from the same cloth as the Murray encounter but it wasn’t as straightforward as the Canadian would have hoped for, for starters.
He took the first set relatively easily but over the next three, Auger-Aliassime was just unable to break through his opponent’s serve. The good news was the reverse also held true which meant the match went with a grand total of just one break of serve – which came in the first set.
Even more interestingly, Auger-Aliassime faced just two break-points in the match, which is bizarre for a match which saw 48 games in total. He won 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 to make it to round two.
The Canadian’s younger legs and his opponent’s first round struggles should give him hope as he looks to emulate his best ever showing at a Grand Slam – a third round last Wimbledon.
Murray v Auger-Aliassime Prediction & Tip
No surprises that Auger-Aliassime starts off a favourite here at 8/13 and while it wouldn’t be the most straightforward of wins, we think he should go through against a tired Murray.
Tip: Felix Auger-Aliassime to win: 8/13 (bet365)
