Diego Schwartzman v Sebastian Ofner Head to Head
This will be the first time Schwartzman and Ofner will be facing off in a competitive encounter at this level.

Schwartzman with a Poor Post-Pandemic Start
Playing at the Cincinnati Open and the US Open, the Argentine, Schwartzman couldn’t progress too far at either of those tournaments. In the former, he came through in two tough sets against Casper Ruud before losing to Reilly Opelka in the second.
And then at the US Open, Schwartzman was dumped out of the competition in the very first round by Cameron Norrie. What was more painful than just the loss itself, was the fact he let go of a two sets to love lead to his British opponent.
Schwartzman now resumes his clay season, one that had earlier seen him make it to the final of the Cordoba Open and the semifinal at Buenos Aires – his home competitions. At Cordoba he came up against an inspired Christian Garin who overturned a set led to win the final set 6-0.
And at the latter competition he had to pull out because of a left leg injury. With two career clay court titles under his belt, the Argentine will relish the return to his favourite surface.

Ofner Through in a Fighting, Shock Win
Wild-card and ranked 159th in the world, Ofner was in a huge tussle in his opening round win against Radu Albot. The Austrian narrowly lost the first set before levelling terms by winning the second.
And in the third, they went into a tie-breaker yet again, which Ofner clinched 7-4 to win his first main draw match at the ATP level of the season. In fact, he had also featured in the Prague Challenger last month, also on clay, and despite a bye to the second round as a seeded player he lost in the first match he played.
Ofner did participate in a plethora of exhibition clay court matches during the pandemic break, helping him no end to get into some kind of a routine. He followed up the Austrian Pro Series with the Austrian Championship where he made the final on clay.
With all that in mind, he could well prove to be a tough nut to crack especially against a player featuring for the first time on red dirt since mid-February.
Schwartzman v Ofner Prediction & Tip
Schwartzman, despite his longish break from having played on clay, should be an easy pick to win this, and starts off 1/6 favourite. A fighting, but a straight-set win beckons for the Argentine.
Tip: Schwartzman to win in straight sets: 1/2 (bet365)
