Aliona Bolsova v Anna Blinkova Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first meeting between the two 22-year olds.

Bolsova Surprise Winner against Riske
Born in Moldova, Bolsova switched her nationality when she gained Spanish citizenship in 2013, and earlier this year made her debut for her adopted country in the Fed Cup. She played college tennis successfully in the US, before deciding to turn pro two years ago.
She has never won a senior WTA title, but has been in 13 finals on the junior tours, winning six of them, the most recent of those successes coming in Darmstadt, Germany in 2018.
Earlier this year, she reached the final of the Challenger event in Cairo, but was then thrashed by Marta Kostyuk of the Ukraine.
Prior to lockdown, she failed to qualify for the main draw of any senior tournament, and that run continued in Palermo, Prague, and Cincinnati. However, she did win her first-round match in New York, beating Jil Belen Teichmann of Switzerland in straight sets, before going down to Madison Keys.
And she showed some of that form in the first round here in Rome, pulling off one of the best victories of her career to date by beating Alison Riske of the United States, the world number 23, coming from a set down to do so.

Blinkova Shocks Teichmann
Blinkova has never won a senior WTA singles title, although she did win the doubles on clay at the Morocco Open ion 2018.
Runners-up in the girls’ singles at Wimbledon in 2015, she has enjoyed success on the junior tours, winning both the singles and the doubles at the Challenger event in New Haven last September.
Earlier this year, she enjoyed the best moment of her career to date as well, beating Belinda Bencic in Shenzhen, her first victory over a player ranked in the top ten.
That win, though, was one of the only times she made it beyond the first round of any event. She was beaten in the first round of Melbourne by Zarina Dyas of Kazakhstan, and failed to qualify for either Dubai or Doha.
Since lockdown, she also failed to qualify for the Cincinnati Open, and was beaten in the first round of the US Open by Jennifer Brady.
However, she reached this stage with two victories over Swiss players. First, she beat Stefanie Voegele in the qualifying competition, and then beat her compatriot Teichmann in the first round on Monday in straight sets.
Bolsova Zadoinov v Blinkova Prediction and Tip
This is a very close match to call and there is no clear favourite to win this. Blinkova is the higher ranked player, but she is not in the best of form, whilst Bolsova Zadoinov has just enjoyed the biggest win of her career. This may well go to three sets, but the Spaniard may just have the edge.
Tip: Bolsova to win: 10/11 (bet365)
