Miomir Kecmanović v Adrian Mannarino Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between the two players, with no prior matchups ever.

Kecmanović Looking to Improve from Previous Tournament
Miomir Kecmanović had a nervy first-round match in cologne against India’s Sumit Nagal. He was outplayed in the first set and had a nervy ending in the second set.
At one point, Nagal was just one game away from winning the match. Kecmanović, however, rallied to win three games in a row and took the second set to a tiebreaker which he then won. After that, he showed his dominance in the third set, which gave him a nervy win in the end.
That win was closer than many would have anticipated. He entered as a sure favorite for the match, the bookies even having him at 1/6, but, like in recent tournaments, had a slow start that could have costed him.
That very slow start is what gave him shock defeats in Paris and Rome on clay, and very recently against Cameron Norrie in the St. Petersburg Open. At 21, he’s still relatively young and should learn from such mistakes to help him improve.
However, before upsets in those tournaments, he had a good run of form which saw him win the Austrian Open Kitzbühel, his first-ever ATP Career title. And his current 39th placed ranking is his career-best.
So he should still have a lot of great momentum going into this one, especially against a player who’s had anything but good form in recent outings.

Mannarino Hoping to Gain Momentum From Win
Adrian Mannarino’s win over Alexei Popyrin was a sure reliever for him. It was the first time that he’d made it past the first round of a tournament in his last five attempts, a clear indicator of his horrid form.
In fact, ever since tennis returned after the hiatus, he had suffered first-round elimination in all but one of the tournaments. The Us Open was that exception before this current tournament, where he made it to the third round of that competition.
However, his bad run of form stretches all the way to the start of the year. Even before the hiatus, his only good performance came in the Monterrey Challenger. All his other tournaments from January to March rotated between first and second-round eliminations.
Yet against Popyrin he was unplayable and brimmed with unwavering confidence, which helped him round to off a marvelous display with a straight sets win that saw him concede only four games in the process.
He’ll be looking to carry on from that win with another win in the second round, but even though the bookies have them evenly placed, this seems like a total mismatch. For someone who has struggled for form throughout the whole year, the only value that he would offer would possibly be in total sets or games.
Kecmanović v Mannarino Prediction and Tip
Kecmanović might have a nervy start in this one, as he occasionally does, which may offer some value in set betting. However, I still have total faith that the 21-year-old is a better pick than Mannarino because of his steady form and his stable career rise. With the bookies placing them at almost similar odds, it seems like a total no brainer in picking the Serb.
Tip: Kecmanović to win: 4/5 (bet365)
