Alex De Minaur v Stefano Travaglia Head to Head
This will be the first-ever competitive meeting between the pair.

De Minaur Exhausted in the Antwerp Final
The 21-year-old has been one of the most in-form players over the last couple of months. First, he reached the last eight at the US Open where three of his four wins were in straight sets.
After that, he had a difficult couple of matches on clay but bounced back quickly with a clean sweep of wins at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown 3. And last week he was the losing finalist at Antwerp and played some really mature tennis along the way.
He started the week a hard-fought win over Frenchman, Richard Gasquet in three sets. De Minaur picked up the form from there and dropped only nine games over the next two matches. But his semi-final win over Grigor Dimitrov seemed to have taken a lot out of the youngster.
He did win in three sets but he looked visibly tired by the end of it and that showed in the final.
He was up against Ugo Humbert and playing five matches in six days showed for the Australian. De Minaur’s whole game is based on being solid and defending well. Something that requires a lot of energy and court coverage.
And this skill allows him to win the pressure points more often than not. But in the final, he looked spent and did not have the same energy as usual. But with a week of rest, the 21-year-old should be fresh and ready to go again in Paris now.

Travaglia Looking for First Win Indoors This Season
The Italian has performed admirably in the last couple of months and taken out a few big-name players. The 28-year-old reached the semi-finals at the Prostejov CHallanger before reaching the round of 16 at Rome. He beat two players higher than him in the ranking before going down against fellow countryman, Matteo Berrettini.
Next up was the Roland Garros where he got past a clay cour specialist, Pablo Andujar in the first round. In the second round, it took him five sets to get past Kei Nishikori.
Although he did go out to Rafael Nadal in the third round, his overall clay season was satisfactory. He did go out in the first round at Nur-Sultan last week but for someone who has played close to 80% of his career matches on clay, it is hardly a surprise.
But in the qualifying stages here, he has shown that he has the quality and experience to adjust to a faster surface. The Italian has a very strong serve and packs a punch with his forehand, something that can be handy on the faster indoor courts.
De Minaur v Travaglia Prediction and Tip
Even though Travaglia is a dangerous opponent, De Minaur should progress comfortably. The Australian would be hurting from his recent loss at Antwerp and this match would be an ideal chance for him to get back to the winning ways.
Tip: De Minaur to win in straight sets: 4/5 (bet365)
