Harrison Looking to Make His Way Back
Three years ago, Harrison had won his maiden ATP title at Memphis and around that very time, he was also ranked 40th in the world. That turned out to be his career-best because very soon after that came a form rut in his career.
He finished the year 2018 ranked a respectable 62nd but soon tumbled out of the top 300 in 2019 following a win-loss record of 8-13. This included just two main draw wins the whole year but if he thought things were to get any better in 2020, they weren’t.
Harrison featured in only the first part of the season, making the second round at the Delray Beach Open but with no other main draw win all year he finished the season ranked 479th in the world.
Now coming into the Delray Beach Open as a wildcard, Harrison will hope to turn things around here.

Mager Himself Coming off a Poor Season
It looked to be going Mager’s way when the Italian managed to come through the 2020 Rio Open qualifiers, beat Casper Ruud and Dominic Thiem to make it to the final of the tournament. And then came that break for pandemic following which Mager’s form just fell away.
Resuming the season at the ‘Cincinnati’ Masters, Mager lost in the first round of the qualifiers there, and then went on a four match, first round losing streak. This also included an opening loss at the Aix en Provence challenger.
Mager’s only two wins in that post-pandemic phase came on the Challenger circuit where he won opening round encounters at Parma and Marbella, on his favourite clay court surfaces.
Harrison v Mager Prediction and Tip
Harrison will go into this as a favourite, with bet365 offering 8/11 for his win, and that is thanks to Mager’s struggles outside clay. Happy to go with that one as well despite the parity in their rankings.
Tip: Harrison to win: 8/11 (bet365)
