Aryna Sabalenka v Ons Jabeur Head to Head
Jabeur won their only contest in the third round of the French Open in 2020. The Tunisian battled past Sabalenka in a tough three-setter to reach the fourth round at Roland Garros for the first time in her career.

Sabalenka Extends Unbeaten Run
Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka extended her unbeaten run to 11 matches in a row as she picked up her second win at the Abu Dhabi Open on Friday, defeating Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic 7-5, 6-4 in a hard-hitting second-round contest.
The World No. 10 started off well, racing to a 4-0 lead in the first set before a string of errors from her allowed the Aussie to come back into the contest.
But the seven-time WTA champion regained composure and found her touch just at the right time to close out the first set by breaking the Aussie in the 12th game. Tomljanovic did pose a challenge in the second set as well, but Sabalenka saw off the threat to improve 3-1 head to head against the World No. 68.
The Belarusian, who won back-to-back titles in Ostrava and Linz to close out 2020, had beaten Slovenia’s Polona Hercog in the first round on Wednesday. Having initially fallen behind in the contest against Hercog, Sabalenka fought back to win 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
Next up, she faces a tricky opponent in Jabeur.

Jabeur Needs to Show Fight Against Qualifier
World No. 31 Ons Jabeur came back from a set down to oust a feisty Kateryna Bondarenko in the second round on Friday.
The Ukrainian qualifier, a former top 30 player, put pressure on the Tunisian early as she took the first set 5-7. Jabeur, however, rebounded in the next two to win the contest 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 in an hour and 56 minutes.
The 26-year-old right-hander, who became the first Arab woman in history to enter the last eight of a major by reaching the quarterfinal of the Australian Open last year, is at her career-high ranking, thanks to some decent results over the last 12 months which has seen her feature in five quarterfinals.
Jabeur, who struck 11 aces against Bondarenko, had started her Abu Dhabi campaign with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 win over Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Sabalenka v Jabeur Prediction and Tip
Really hard to call this one. Their only previous matchup was an entertaining contest. Expect this to be a close one as well with Sabalenka edging out Jabeur in three.
Tip: Sabalenka to win in three sets: 3/1 (bet365)
