Tiafoe started slowly. Despite saving two break points in the second game of the first set, Fratangelo broke him in the sixth game of the set to go 4-2 up. Tiafoe came back, winning the next four games to win the set 6-4.
A sole converted break point decided the second set in Fratangelo’s favor, forcing a third set in the match.
Tiafoe’s momentum came back in the third set. He dominated proceedings, capitalizing on 100% of his three break points while managing to rescue all the three break points that he faced. He eventually won the set 6-1 and the tie subsequently.
Tiafoe will be hoping to reach his second successive semifinal and add to his sole ATP title that came in this competition back in 2018.

Norrie Schools Mannarino
Norrie remained perfect in this competition after overcoming nine-time ATP semi-finalist Adrian Mannarino in straight sets.
Norrie started strong, going 3-0 up immediately in the first set. Despite being broken by the Frenchman in the subsequent game, he held on to claim the set 6-2.
The second set was a closer affair. Norrie started slowly and went 3-0 down. He fought back to even the tie and even rescued two break points that he faced in the eighth game of the set.
A break point that Norrie converted in the set’s penultimate game proved crucial, which helped to give him the second set 7-5 and avert an inevitable tiebreak.
The Brit, having had a mixed 2020, will be hoping to reach his first semifinal since 2019.
Tiafoe v Norrie Prediction and Tip
Tiafoe, with home advantage and prior tournament-winning experience, is the favorite in this tie. Norrie, however, performs better on hard courts than the American and could use that to his advantage.
