Hubert Hurkacz v Sebastian Korda Head to Head
This will be the first time that Hurkacz and Korda will face off in a match at this level.

Hurkacz Halts Fairy-Tale Run
In a tough semifinal encounter against a player ranked 798th in the world, Hurkacz defeated American qualifier Christian Harrison’s solid showing at the competition, winning 7-6 (4), 6-4. He later acknowledged his opponent’s performance despite having started out as a qualifier and ranked so low, with injuries having played a part in his career over the years.
Speaking of performance, Hurkacz would be pleased with his own too, having defeated a player who had taken out the top seeded Cristian Garin in his second round match earlier in the tournament.
With no breaks of serve in the first set, Hurkacz finally got going in the tie-breaker to carve out the lead. When Harrison then broke the Pole early in the second set, it seemed like the match could head towards a thriller only for Hurkacz to break right back and then finished things off with another break of serve.
After a first round bye, the fourth seeded Hurkacz had beaten Daniel Galan and Roberto Quiroz in his first two matches here and now faces a player tipped to go on to become one of the best in the business.

Korda Survives Late Dip
Having made his ATP debut in 2018, Korda is also a former junior world number one and he has finally made it to his maiden ATP final with a 6-3, 7-5 drubbing of Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie.
The match looked to be heading his way from the word with the American breaking Norrie early and despite bit of a fightback, breaking him to love yet again in the eighth game to win the opening set.
When Korda broke his opponent yet again in the fifth game of the second set, and served for the match at 5-4, the writing looked to be on the wall only for Norrie to break back from two match-points down. Not to be deterred, however, Korda quickly regained his composure, earned the decisive break before serving it out.
Korda had earlier stunned John Isner in the quarterfinal, needing three sets to get past him after having defeated Tommy Paul and Soo-Woo Kwon earlier.
Hurkacz v Korda Prediction and Tip
Hurkacz has been here before having won a title in Winston-Salem in 2019 and starts off as bit of a favourite at 8/11. Korda has shown his class all tournament, living up to the expectations but the Pole’s experience could help him through here.
Tip: Hurkacz to win: 8/11 (bet365)
