Roberto Bautista-Agut v John Millman Head to Head
This will be the seventh meeting between the two players.
Bautista-Agut has won five of those fixtures with Millman only laying claim to a solitary win. Additionally, Bautista-Agut has won the last five in a row, which includes a hard-fought five-setter in the Australian Open two years ago.
Millman’s only victory over Bautista-Agut came in 2009, 11 years ago.

Bautista-Agut Hoping For Top Honors This Time
Bautista-Agut was impeccable in last year’s ATP Cup. He didn’t put a foot wrong in the entirety of the tournament and won all the six matches that he played in Spain’s road to the final.
In fact, all his wins were in straight sets, and he only conceded an average of 4 games per match in that rampaging run.
Spain’s defeat in the other two matches in the final, however, meant that Bautista-Agut’s performances were only good enough for second place; something that team Spain will definitely be hoping to improve upon.
Bautista-Agut will also be hoping to put a tough season behind him.
Despite his great performances in the ATP Cup, he ended the season without a title and had to prematurely end his tour participation in October because of some elbow problems.

Millmania To Have An Effect?
To say that John Millman is a local favorite would be an understatement. The Australian has a deluge of local support, which eventually led to the term Millmania being coined.
Such support may have some effect as he plays in front of a mostly local crowd, especially for a player whose performances towards the end of last season signaled a late-career revival.
Millman won his first-ever ATP title after defeating Adrian Mannarino in the Astana Open final, and he also reached the quarterfinal in Sofia two weeks after his title win; both of which helped him close out the season on some good form.
He also won both the matches that he played in last year’s ATP cup, and, despite facing some overwhelming odds, will be roaring to go against the mighty Spanish in his 2021 season opener.
Bautista-Agut v Millman Prediction and Tip
Despite Millman’s recent resurgence, Bautista-Agut seems destined to make it six in a row against the Aussie. The Spaniard thrives on the bigger stages and, with a better head-to-head, already knows how to neutralize Millman’s firepower.
Tip: Bautista-Agut to win: 3/10 (bet365)
