Stefanos Tsitsipas v Roberto Bautista-Agut Head to Head
In their only previous meeting at the highest competitive level, Tsitsipas had defeated Bautista-Agut in the quarterfinal of the 2019 Australian Open. They featured in another match, in the Boodles exhibition competition on grass that very year and Tsitsipas came away a 6-4, 6-4 winner.

Greek Hopes on Tsitsipas’ Shoulders
With Greece losing their opening tie of this ATP Cup to Australia, their hopes now rest on Tsitsipas – and the doubles team in all probability – as they hunt for that elusive place in the semifinal. A 3-0 win is what will take them through to the last four stage and for that they will hope Tsitsipas can help their team out.
One of the players to watch out this season as far as challenging the Big Three for Grand Slam titles is concerned, Tsitsipas will look to continue from where he left off against Australia’s Alex De Minaur.
Tipped as an obvious favourite to win that encounter in what was going to be his first match since his appearance at the ATP Finals last season, the Greek played the big moments far better than his opponent to clinch the match 6-3, 7-5.
The first set saw him go up a break before dropping serve, only to break again and take a 4-2 lead. It was slightly more difficult in the second set but after having missed an opportunity to break de Minaur in the ninth game, he got another in the 11th and took full toll.

Bautista-Agut Helps Spain with Comeback Win
Like his opponent in this match, Bautista-Agut also played de Minaur in his singles match and came away a winner. Except it was a lot tougher for the Spaniard, as he needed a comeback from behind victory, taking the match 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Bautista-Agut, who had complained about the conditions in his quarantine late last month, made a sluggish start to the encounter which saw seven breaks of serve in the first set. The Spaniard fell 5-1 behind only to show resurrection by breaking back twice but dropped serve while looking to stay in the set.
The comeback, however, held him in a good stead as Bautista-Agut broke early in the second and third sets, without once getting broken back to seal the encounter in two hours and 21 minutes.
The Spaniard, ranked 13th in the world, is coming off a modest season in which his best showing had come at the ATP Cup where he won all his six singles matches. Unfortunately for him, the only other time he won three matches in a competition was at the Cincinnati Masters where he was a losing semifinalist.
Tsitsipas v Bautista-Agut Prediction and Tip
Bautista-Agut will have his task cut out against a player starting out at 2/5 to win the match. Could see some fight here though and if not a third set, more than 20.5 games.
Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 4/5 (bet365)
