Milos Raonic v Corentin Moutet Head to Head
There has been one previous outing between these two players and that came last season in Doha. Moutet needed two tie-breakers to win the match and make it to the last eight.

Raonic Rout for Coria
Canadian Raonic had signalled his return to top-class action last season with a final appearance at the Cincinnati Open where he then went down in a stiff title-decider to Novak Djokovic. And here in the first round at the Australian Open, Raonic has sealed his get back to his solid serving days.
In a first round match against Argentina Federico Coria, Raonic was on court for a mere hour and 35 minutes to complete a facile first round win.
A break in the fourth game of the opening set got him going before he doubled that advantage by breaking again as Coria looked to serve at 3-5 to stay in the match. The pattern repeated in the second set with an early break for the world number 15 and that was all he needed to take a two-set advantage.
In the third, Raonic was up a break in the first game and then broke again in the seventh before finishing off the encounter with a booming serve that drew out an error on his opponent’s return.

Moutet Huffs & Puffs Past Millman
John Millman was a favourite going into their second round match but Moutet did not let those odds affect him too much, registering a fighting, five-set victory over the Aussie. In a match that nearly went for four hours, Moutet won his first ever main draw match at the Australian Open, clinching the tie 6-4, 6-7 (4), 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to set up this meeting with the Canadian.
The pair exchanged breaks of serves early in the first set before Moutet registered a decisive break in the ninth game and then served it out. The second set went on serve, but Moutet lost focus at 3-3 in the tie-breaker to allow Millman to level the match.
And when Millman overturned a break of serve early in the third set to reel off five games in a row, the momentum had truly swung.
Moutet wasn’t done yet and showed grit and fought his way back to clinch the final two with four more breaks of serves, and losing none of his own.
The world number 80 had earlier made it to the semifinal of the Murray River Open with wins over Frances Tiafoe and Grigor Dimitrov, and as confidence goes, it is probably at his best for him.
Raonic v Moutet Prediction and Tip
Raonic’s serve has reached peak quality levels and it would be difficult to stop him on courts which have been called a lot quicker by some of the players. Expecting him to blast past Moutet here.
Tip: Raonic to win in straight sets: 1/1 (bet365)
