Stefanos Tsitsipas v Thanasi Kokkinakis Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between both players on the tour.

Tsitsipas In Sublime Touch Early In Season So Far
Stefanos Tsitsipas let the tennis world know of his arrival on the big stage with a semi-final run including a win against Roger Federer in the fourth round here in Melbourne in 2019. While Tsitsipas has lived up to his billing since and been a regular member of the top eight rankings on the ATP tour, he has lacked in consistency and been unable to win the crucial points, games and matches.
The Greek looked in good touch this week at the ATP Cup and although Greece did not go beyond the group stages, Tsitsipas looked convincing in his straight set wins against both Ale de Minaur and Roberto Bautista Agut.
Tsitsipas continued the strong run against veteran Frenchman Gilles Simon in the first round dropping only five games for a 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 win. The Greek was firing on all cylinders and looking good on serve and with the groundstrokes.
With a draw that gets tricky with the likes of Daniil Medvedev, Rafael Nadal and Andrey Rublev at the Australian Open, Tsitsipas will be hoping for a continuation of the same smooth progress in the first week.

Can The Kokkinakis Recovery Bring a Big Win?
24-year-old Aussie Thanasi Kokkinakis has been on tour for most of the last decade making his debut as a teenager on the main draw and being successful on the ATP Challenger Tour as well on the ITF Futures Tour.
The Aussie pulled off some good results early on in the main draw, but had recurring injuries that saw long layoffs from the tour. He will be most remembered for his second round win against defending Miami Open champion Roger Federer at the 2018 version of the tournament.
A shoulder injury at the 2019 Australian Open that recurred and flared up at the US Open later that year saw him out for another long break until his return last week at the Melbourne ATP 250. Despite a first round loss there, Kokkinakis looked good in his opener here winning in straight sets and will look to play with nothing to lose as the underdog against Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas v Kokkinakis Prediction and Tip
Although this seems like an interesting match-up, the players are in two different places with form and career. Not a lot the Aussie can put up against Tsitsipas in current form; expect a straight sets win for the Greek.
Tip: Tsitsipas to win in straight sets: 8/13 bet365)
