Four of the eight quarterfinals across the men’s and women’s singles draws will be played today with Djokovic and Halep leading the men’s and women’s singles draw. Some of the other top players to take to court will include Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams along with Alexander Zverev.

All the singles matches will be played at the Rod Laver Arena, starting at 12.30 pm local time starting with Naomi Osaka in action first up. She will face Hsieh Su-wei as she bids to make it to another semifinal. The third seed is already a three-time Grand Slam winner, looking to go the distance again.

Following this match, the day session will continue with Grigor Dimitrov on court for his quarterfinal against Russia’s surprise entrant, Aslan Karatsev. Karatsev is one of three players from his country to make it to the last eight stage of this tournament.

Following this match, it will be the turn of Serena Williams and Simona Halep to take court in what will be a mouth-watering clash. While Halep has done well otherwise too, she did beat Serena the last time they faced off – at the 2019 Wimbledon final – and she would take a lot of confidence from it.

In the last match at RLA, it will be the turn of Novak Djokovic to enter the court. He will have Alexander Zverev as company with the winner going through to the semifinal.
