This will be the first meeting between this talented Italian Sinner and Kazakhstan’s Bublik.

Sinner at His Career-Best Ranking
While first round defeats at both, the Australian Open and the Montpellier Open, would have dented some of his confidence, Sinner would like to take a lot more from what had happened before that.
The world number 32 had begun his 2021 campaign with a solid showing in the Great Ocean Road Open in Melbourne, which included wins over Aljaz Beden, Miomir Kecmanovic and Karen Khachanov before he overcame Stefano Travaglia in the final of that tournament.
More recently in Marseille, Sinner was able to make it to the quarterfinal but then lost that encounter to Daniil Medvedev, who went on to win the title.
The 19-year-old shot to fame in 2019 when he won the Next-Gen title that season and followed that up with his maiden ATP title last season when he went on to lift the Sofia Open trophy. By making it three titles in as many years – albeit including the Next Gen title – Sinner looked to be going down the path laid out for him, that of a world number one at some point in the future.
An interesting match-up kick-starts his maiden Dubai campaign.

Bublik Not Too Far Behind His Opponent
We called this match an interesting one and the reason for that is it pits two player at their respective career-best rankings against each other.
Bublik is currently ranked 43rd in the world, and it is his best ever position on the ATP Rankings chart. And the reason for that is his performance in two of the tournaments he has played this season.
It was at the Antalya Open that Bublik went all the way through to the final where he got injured and had to retire from the encounter. Then against in Singapore, Bublik managed a finals appearance but lost to Alexei Popyrin there, before back to back second round exits at Rotterdam and Doha looked to have pushed him back a tad.
Here, in Doha, Bublik managed to overcome Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round but now faces a sterling test at the hands of a teenage talent.
Sinner v Bublik Prediction and Tip
While Sinner starts off 4/9 to win this one, we cannot ignore Bublik’s solid showing all of the season so far and we believe this match could see a third set as a result.
Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 10/11 (bet365)
