Taylor Fritz v Cameron Norrie Head to Head
There have been five meetings between these two players and Norrie leads Fritz 3-2 on the head to head. All the five matches have come between 2019 and 2020, with Norrie having won their last two encounters – at the St. Petersburg Open and the Delray Beach Open.

The hard-serving Fritz was on court for a mere 56 minutes, broke his opponent twice in each set and in turn faced no break-points of his own in their second round encounter. With 86% of his first serves in and winning 25 of the 29 points on those first serves, it was always going to overcome the Fritz challenge anyway.
The American had earlier reached the semifinal of the ATP Doha with a remarkable set of performances against Lorenzo Sonego, David Goffin and Denis Shapovalov, before he fell to Nikoloz Basilashvili – a player who was showing signs of returning to form after months of lacklustre showings.

Norrie Stunner for Dimitrov
Britain’s Norrie called his win over Grigor Dimitrov “huge”. And why not?
Dimitrov has been going through a resurrection in his own fortunes and as Norrie himself explained, “He’s really good on the hard courts. He’s had a good start to the year.”
For Norrie to then come through in straight sets, albeit 7-5, 7-5 does sound like a huge achievement, especially for a player 56th in the world.
Having also never made it past the first round at the Miami Masters, this victory does resonate with the word “Huge” again. He has already climbed up a few places by making it to the third round and a victory here will help Norrie break into the top 50.
Having earlier made it to the third round at the Australian Open and the quarterfinal at the Acapulco Open, Norrie will now be looking to take that next big step. And reaching the fourth round of the Miami Masters would just that be that.
